In the early 1950s, FIAT worked closely with French companies to form the joint venture Someca, a division of the French car company Simca and a subsidiary of FIAT.
Someca's models were designed for the French market.
In the 1950s, Someca made a head start with the MAP with a two-stroke diesel engine.
Throughout the 1960s, the lineup gradually expanded with many tractor models modeled after FIAT technology, until Simca was bought by Chrysler and Someca was sold to New Holland.
Now Someca tractors are classics.
