The history of the SAME brand began in Italy, where Francesco Cassani lived, a true agricultural mechanization enthusiast and handyman.

In 1924-1928, when it seemed that there was nothing better than an oil engine with a calorizer, Francesco developed the first tractor equipped with a diesel engine with pre-chamber injection and self-ignition.

In 1947, the Universele 3R 10 3-wheeled mower, equipped with a 610 cc kerosene engine, went on sale and developing power up to 10 hp.

In 1952, SAME presented to the public the first such tractor - the DA 25, equipped with a 2.28 liter diesel engine with forced air cooling and a 7-speed gearbox.

SAME acquired the tractor division of Lamborghini and the Swiss company Hürlimann in 1978, thus forming the new company Same-Lamborghini-Hürlimann.

In 1995, the group took over the German company Deutz-Fahr, thanks to which grain harvesters were added to its range.
