FIAT Trattori was founded in 1919 and quickly became one of the leading players in the European agricultural machinery market.
Even before the founding of the tractor department, in 1918, FIAT introduced the 702, which was the first stone in the foundation of the great success of FIAT Trattori.
In 1991 it merged with New Holland Ford and began to produce tractors under the New Holland name.
In 1999, New Holland became part of the CNH Global holding, in which the FIAT concern occupies a leading position to this day.
Unlike New Holland, FIAT tractors were rarely shipped outside Europe.
