The history of the Farmtrac Tractors Europe plant began with the fact that in 2000 one of the largest Polish dealers, Polmot Holding (owner of the Ursus brand), created a joint venture with Escorts Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of tractors.
Since 2004, the Polish investor has gone out of business, and now the company is 100% owned by Indians.
In Poland, the Farmtrac Tractors Europe plant appeared to produce tractors for the local market and export to other EU countries.
Now this manufacturer occupies 7% of the Polish market (sales of about 600 tractors per year), and the total production volume is 900-1200 units of equipment.
Moreover, up to 40% of production goes to other countries.
Considering that the potential of the European market for tractors with a capacity of 33–100 hp accounts for 53% of the market (about 100 thousand pieces), but their prices are on average in the range of EUR 22,000-35,000, Farmtrac had pretty good prospects, because its products are cheaper.
Farmtrac tractors are sold all over the world, from Estonia to African Ghana. And the brand positions itself as a competitor to New Holland and Сase IH.
Today, Farmtrac Tractors Europe near Lublin produces about 120 tractors per month. The total number of personnel is 150 people.
